For many years I had in mind of making a ‘revival’ and experience of my trip to London after the term ofmilitary service. I was 22 years old and I guessed that the English language would be very important to learn for the future. My friend Emilio and I, out for adventure, we bought a used Fiat 500 after working so hard to find the money. It was white with the doors opened against the direction of travel. We left home on a winter day. 4 of us together, we travelled in our tiny Fiat 500. It was cold but the enginedid not betray us. Slowly we were able to pass the Mount Blanc, in serious adverse weather conditions, we made our way through a great depth of snow on either side of the car. But in spite of the weather we conquered the Mount Blanc pass leaving behind bigger and more powerful cars that had been swallowed up by the ice and snow. Finally Europe opened before us and in a few days reached theEnglish capital. We slept and ate in the car wherever we could stop. It was a fantastic experience. The Fiat 500, our youth, thoughtlessness and a future to gain.
With that idea in my head and emotion in my heart, I decided to relive my first journey, a new experience, and so I began to look for a Fiat 500 In Tenerife to face a journey of which I had not yet anything planned. First the car, the destination I would find it later.
Through a dealer I finally found a Fiat 500 for sale in Puerto de la Cruz and I closed the deal quickly. I was happy, I had found the classic Fiat 500 with a Tenerife license plate and the rest of the story is written in my travels. Stories of inseparable friends such as Lalo, the genius that taught me all tricks of the engine and solved a lot of problems even at a distance.
